Feb. 26, 2023 - New version of Space Portal released for Quest 2 (v 0.42)! Updates include:

-Real-time Earth imagery with lower latency (up to 60 minutes closer to real-time) and higher reliability

-Bug fixes

-Faster loads for some events

-More tips for first-time users

With version 0.42 released, the focus until summer will be on:

-Featuring new Earth spacecraft every month

-Increased imagery resolution

Note that image resolution will be somewhat reduced over Europe, parts of Africa, and India until new imaging satellites come online by 2024

Dec. 10, 2022 - After the Artemis I Orion reentry at 11:00 am Eastern Time, December 11, 2022, we will be switching to following the Hubble Space Telescope. Hubble flies about 100 km higher than the International Space Station and the Tiangong Chinese Space Station. See if you can tell the difference!
